Our pipeline
Edvince’s strategy is to develop intravenous (i.v.) drugs for the broader forms of stroke in parallel with a planned Phase 2b clinical trial in SAH involving intracranial administration (i.c.v.). All drug candidates are designed to inhibit the MEK/ERK signalling pathway, i.e. the same mechanism of action that has been confirmed in a recently completed Phase 1b/2a study in SAH. Inhibition of the MEK/ERK signalling pathway has a proven clear effect in preventing or significantly reducing delayed ischaemic damage to the brain that occurs in the period following a stroke, i.e. brain damage caused by reduced blood flow and oxygen deprivation (ischaemia). Edvince’s pipeline strategy is expected to significantly improve the prospects for a financially attractive partnership and/or exit for Edvince upon completion of the Phase 2b study in SAH i.c.v.
